How to Replace the Coaxial Cable on the CADDX GM3 Gimbal

1. Preparation

1. Gather the necessary tools: screwdriver, tweezers, etc.
2. Ensure your workspace is clean and free from static interference.
3. Prepare the new coaxial cable.

2. Disassembly Steps

Remove the bottom cover of the gimbal

Use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the bottom cover.

Remove the screws on the yaw axis cover

Take off the yaw axis cover plate and organize the screws properly.

Remove the screws on the roll axis cover

Detach the roll axis cover and store the screws categorically.

Pull out the old cable 

Carefully remove the cable from the yaw axis, roll axis, and pitch axis.

Note: Be cautious while pulling to avoid damaging other components.

3. Installation Steps

Prepare the new cable

Ensure the five cable sections align properly with the chip positions.

Threading the new cable

• Thread the new coaxial cable through the base.
• Pass the cable through the yaw axis, roll axis, and pitch axis.
• Organize the cable   and ensure it is centered in the designated slot.

Reinstall the covers

• Attach the covers (roll axis cover, yaw axis rear cover, and yaw axis cover) in the reverse order of disassembly.
• Use the original screws to secure each cover, as mismatched screws can damage the gimbal.

Inspection and Testing

• Check the alignment between the cable   and the chip to ensure proper installation.

• Manually rotate the pitch axis to check for smooth movement.
• Power on the gimbal and test its functionality to confirm normal operation.
